This afternoon, I had the honour of meeting with the Katikkiro of Buganda, Owek. @cpmayiga. Our conversation centred on a cause close to both our hearts—protecting the environment. Through our #TaasaObutonde campaign and the Kingdom’s own initiatives, we agreed that environmental responsibility is no longer optional. The changing weather patterns are a clear call to action.
We also explored another exciting opportunity—bringing Buganda’s rich heritage to life through our upcoming @NextMediaUG Content Creator Hub. Together, we’ve committed to dedicating people and resources to create authentic, compelling content that celebrates Buganda’s culture, stories, and identity.
What stood out most was the Katikkiro’s warm appreciation for our continued investment in technology and innovation. He acknowledged that our efforts go beyond broadcasting—they’re rooted in a deeper purpose: to inform, transform, and uplift communities.
This partnership marks the beginning of something truly impactful, and I look forward to what we can achieve together.
