Today at the Next Media Park, I welcomed Hollywood producers Brian Glassford and Derrick Warfel, who are in Uganda to launch the Africa School of Film and Media Arts at Africa Renewal University.
Their visit sparked inspiring discussions around collaboration — how Uganda’s vibrant storytelling can merge with Hollywood craftsmanship to create world-class productions. The conversation also explored how Next Media can play a pivotal role in equipping the next generation of Ugandan creatives with the skills to compete globally.
As Glassford and Warfel toured the Park — home to some of Uganda’s most innovative storytellers and media professionals — the shared vision was clear: to empower African creators to tell authentic stories with global appeal.
“Our commitment is to nurture talent that not only tells Uganda’s stories but tells them with excellence”. “Partnerships like this accelerate our mission to make Uganda a hub for creative and media innovation.”
With collaborations like these, Uganda’s creative industry is turning potential into production — and dreams into globally celebrated stories.
