For 18 years, I have remained committed to asking hard questions and ensuring that Ugandans—and the communities we serve—receive honest, meaningful answers.
This mission is not mine alone. It is carried forward every day by an extraordinary team of journalists, producers, editors, and crew members who step into spaces many would avoid. They pursue difficult stories, earn the trust of fearful sources, and dedicate countless unseen hours to getting the truth to the public. I witness firsthand the demands their work places on them, and I am deeply proud of their courage and professionalism.
Our ability to serve with integrity rests entirely on their shoulders. They are the reason we continue to uphold our promise to inform, challenge, and represent the people.
On this World Press Freedom Day, I reaffirm my commitment to standing with them—and to protecting the vital role of a free and responsible press.
