Tonight was a proud moment for the Rotary families of Districts 9213 and 9214 at the #APeaceConcert25. The evening was a beautiful reminder of the power of service, unity, and peace, and I couldn’t be more excited to share this special occasion with all of you.
One of the most meaningful highlights of the night was the recognition of my incredible wife, JJ Kariisa, who serves as the President of Rotary Kibuli.
I am beyond proud to announce that she was honored as a ‘Benefactor’ by the Trustees of the Rotary Foundation for her unwavering commitment to Rotary’s mission and her generous support over the years. Her dedication to the cause is truly inspiring, and watching her receive this recognition was nothing short of emotional.
Dr. Stephanie Urchik, the Rotary International President, was also present and embraced Uganda’s warm hospitality in a way that reaffirmed why we are so proud to call Uganda the Pearl of Africa. Her visit brought an extra layer of significance to the event, reminding us all of the global impact of Rotary’s work.
As I reflect on tonight, I am filled with gratitude and hope for the future. The Rotary family’s collective efforts to promote peace, build sustainable communities, and make lasting change are more important than ever. Seeing so many of you, from both Uganda and beyond, standing together in solidarity reminds me why I am so passionate about the work we do.
Here’s to continuing to champion peace and sustainable change, both in Uganda and around the world. Let’s keep pushing forward and inspiring others through Rotary’s initiatives, knowing that together we can create a brighter, more peaceful future for all.
Thank you all for your support, and let’s keep the momentum going!
