#DisMisFakeNews: A Campaign to Protect Uganda’s Future

Fake news is more than just an online annoyance—it’s a real threat to our society, our economy, our peace, and even our closest relationships. This morning, we at NBS TV launched the #DisMisFakeNews campaign, a powerful initiative to tackle misinformation head-on. If we don’t act NOW to #FightFakeNews, everything we hold dear could be at risk.

This campaign is about more than media literacy; it’s about empowering Ugandans with the skills to identify and reject fake news. By thinking critically, we can protect ourselves and build a smarter, more informed Uganda. #DisMisFakeNews is for OUR future; it’s for YOU!

The internet is a powerful tool, but unchecked misinformation could distort it. With support from partners like the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, Uganda Communications Commission, and Police Ug, we’re committed to safeguarding our digital space for the long haul. We’re grateful to the dignitaries who joined us today, endorsing this vital cause and helping us preserve the truth for generations to come.
